My name is Michael Joe Kirkbride. I live in San Rafael, California, I work

In an Art Studio, making prints. I am an Artist.

I have had a painting and Illustration Business. I have been homeless and lived like an

animal, locked up and hospitalized. I have starved and stolen to buy paints.

I have lived with Mental Illness and survived depressions so deep they

caused black outs that have lasted years. Through it all I have always made art.

My cat was one of my few companions in this life. When he died my life fell

Through the hole he left in my heart. I tried to paint his Angel but the pain

Would not let me. It was within this anguish that I saw the first Angel,

floating through me tears in front of me. “ Angel of All Small Things”.

I begin to paint the Angels of the small animals I saw dead in the roads, feilds or

elsewhere. I want to celebrate the spirits of struggling creatures everywhere,

With my paintings.
